Just in case some may not be aware but Immigration will be closed both Thursday and Friday for holidays. Just a heads up.

From the Thai Embassy Vientiane website, they show only Friday as being closed. The Chiangmai Immigration office showed both Thursday & Friday as closed so don't know if their site is accurate or not. You may want to contact them directly to verify the information.

Which is why I left yesterday morning and arrived back, passport and visa in hand today. :o
