90 Days W/ Proof Of Address

Don't you think that Naam's comment makes it even more interesting. I had forgotten that's how the system works!

Still I will comply as always - seems easier that way - I will continue to do that until it all gets too crazy.

Naams comment don't really mean anything as he "forgot" to mention that he did have to supply a valid document to verify his address. It would maybe be interesting if he did use his old drivers license to get his "Proof of Address" to renew his license

i did not submit anything. actually i have nothing which might prove where i live as home, electricity, water, phone and internet are in the company's and not our names. beats me how i obtained the 'proof of residence' document for both of us at least twice each year for the last 3½ years. i have to admit however that neither me nor my wife ever saw an immigration office from the inside

Use the offered postal 90 days service in Bangkok. You don't have to visit Immigration in Pattaya.

I am Married and have a valid WP all the mail / Bills come in the wifes name I was told my WP will suffice anyone confirm that ?

Did my 90 day reporting as normal in Jomtien today and went armed with various documents such as copy of UBC bill, copy of driving licence, copy of blue company book plus map showing village. I did this as I wanted to get a diffinitive answer to what was actually required. I was No. 64 and the lady was dealing with No. 50 so I stood near her desk to find out what everyone was being told, without exception they were all told "next time bring copy address". My turn gave her the usual form and passport then offered copy of my Thai driving Licence, she asked me to sign this copy and that was it, no other documents I asked, no this OK and same same next time which I take to mean I need to take a copy of my driving licence with me again. Now I have an old paper style licence and understand the new one does not show address so that may be where people are asked for different documents, also it is an offence not to report change of address to the driving licence centre as it is in my home country (UK) !

So all in all a quick in and out as it has always been with only one small addition.

When I renewed my one year driver licences last year to five year licences in Khon Kaen my old address (Pattaya) was printed on them instead of my new one (Khon Kaen).

Just did my 90 day reporting at Krabi immigration no problem at all, same as previous reportings.

Just supplied photocopy of passport with application form, was not asked for anything else nor told about any extra papers to bring next time.

Guess being out of the mainstream has its compensations
