I just got good news about my wife and she was given her visa on Nov 2. I applied for a Immigration visa and it took 2 yrs to be finally finished. Their is another visa a k-1 visa, It is called a Fiance visa. Your GF can come to the states but she has 90 days to marry if not then she goes back. You can also use it for a spouse, but she will be under Non-Immigrant status. You will have to do more paperwork to change her status. That is why I had gotten an Immigration visa, I know it took longer but now she is legal to stay. She waits for her green card now. If you have any other questions just ask.
