Canon Pixma

Featured Replies

Thinking of getting another printer. Have heard good things about Canon Pixma.

Anyone have recommendations on which model and where to buy?

Went to Pantip but didn't see any Canon, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

I have a Canon Pixma ip5300 and would say it is the best printer (color) I've had. Features, color accuracy, quietness and reasonable price (including ink replacement). It's been a while, but have seen them at the Computer Plaza near Kad Suan Kaow, first store on the right as you enter. The ip5300 may have been replaced with a different model by now but can't see you going wrong with them.

//edit - you can see some of the models available here > http://www.tohome.com/catalog.aspx?catalog_id=343

Thank you, I'll take a look there. :o

Canons are good. Just got one at Pantip Plaza. It really depends on what model you want and what the stores have in stock. They are around town. Many stores are stocked to the hilt with the cheap model. I do not think you will find significant price differences anywhere. The stores check each other's prices more often and much more rapidly than you do.

I've always been an Epson fan but recently I had to use my wife's Canon Pixma. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the print-outs. Hers is one of the lower end models but even so, the text was sharp and crisp, and when printing photographs on good quality Canon photo paper the colors were quite accurate. The speed for both was surprisingly fast, especially when using the highest quality color mode. I might have to rethink my stand on Epsons....
