After more than a decade in Asia, the only thing I really miss from the UK is the good old dry British humour.

From time to time I used to buy the odd DVD from Ebay based on UK based friends recommendations as to which show or comedian was in vogue at any given time.

Recently however I have used You Tube for my source of comedic entertainment and therefore I suggest a few crackin examples to give you a chuckle and more often tan note a blood good belly too!

I apologise if these guys are know to you already, but this post is aimed more at the Brits whom have been in the region for a good while and are not aware of the comedy British genius they may have missed over the past 10 years.

A few choice names and starter links for your delectation and delight:

Al Murray

Never saw 8 out of 10 cats until today. Not so much dry in the tradition of Fry and Laurie as it is quick, original, witty, intelligent, sharp, playful and cutting. :o Very appreciative of your tipping me off as it's well worth watching. When British comedians are on their game, they are the gold standard. No one does it better.

Thanks.

Great links - thanks for the laughs. I love Al Murray, you should get your hands on his full length stand up routines - hilarious.

Have you seen Peter Kay? Check these out (warning, probably only really funny for Brits...):
