Type 'o' visa for accompanying wife

Many thanks for your replies. As requirements for the retirement visa include police clearance and medical check, would this also apply to my wife if she is to accompany me on this type of visa or would she be exempt as a Thai holding a British Passport.?? Bit of a puzzle this one. Also, looking

at other information within this forum, it appears that the yearly extension is only granted in Thailand and not at the R.T.E. in London. Is this true.?
