Need "nicer" Nightlife

Featured Replies

I had some customers in from Europe last night, and after dinner, they wanted to sample the infamous Bangkok nightlife. I had previously taken customers to the Longgun in Soi Cowboy which offered a peek at adult nightlife, but in an almost Vegas-style venue.  The dancers actually danced in choreographed routines and in different costumes for each dance, it was low key (no pressure), and this was a place where a married couple could come in together.  Well, I haven't been there in quite some time, and last night, it had degenerated into a typical Patpong-style place.  Not to be judgemental, but rather scummy and not where I want to take some customers.

I am not expecting a real high-class Vegas revue.  But is there anywhere appropriate to take someone who wants a taste of the nightlife but not a Patpong-style fleshpit?

We took some Chinese customers to one several years ago, and they loved it.  I am not too sure that an American customer would want to go (I am American, and I certainly don't like them). As far as European, Australian, or South African, I am not sure.

While we don't do this often, so far, the Chinese seem to like the large venues such as the caberet, the Japanese like the smaller, more intimate bars with hostesses (but they all want to go to Somboon Seafood Restaurant, first), the Americans want the Suan Lum Night Bazaar, the Europeans seem to be more varied, and the Australians and South Africans are happy to go on their own without us to the fleshpots. I am not trying to make a blanket statement as I haven't done this with enough customers over the last several years to make up a valid population, but it is still interesting, I think.
