Is there a public library in Pattaya? I am very curious to see what sort of books and material they maintain and how many are in English (if any).

I hear they have some very friendly librarians there !

And, do they have a fine collection of comic books?

That's what most Thai's seem to read...

Northstar is my recommondation as well - you can become a member for 1000 baht per year - good selection of books in english and a few in Thai - all proceeds benefit the handicapped center there - located on Sukhumvit between Pattaya Klang and Pattaya Nui - opposite side of the street from Index and set slightly back from the street - they also offer free computer classes for beginners
