gk10002000 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Is there a public library in Pattaya? I am very curious to see what sort of books and material they maintain and how many are in English (if any).
PattayaParent Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 There's one on Sukhumvit Road (North Star I think it's called) and one on Soi Yodsak
eefoo Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 There's one on Sukhumvit Road (North Star I think it's called) and one on Soi Yodsak Hence all the jokes about going to the 'library' on Soi 6
Kerryd Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 There's one on Sukhumvit Road (North Star I think it's called) and one on Soi Yodsak Hence all the jokes about going to the 'library' on Soi 6 I hear they have some very friendly librarians there !
LukDod Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 And, do they have a fine collection of comic books? That's what most Thai's seem to read...
jm49er1 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 There's one on Sukhumvit Road (North Star I think it's called) and one on Soi Yodsak Northstar is my recommondation as well - you can become a member for 1000 baht per year - good selection of books in english and a few in Thai - all proceeds benefit the handicapped center there - located on Sukhumvit between Pattaya Klang and Pattaya Nui - opposite side of the street from Index and set slightly back from the street - they also offer free computer classes for beginners
