Been reading on another forum that the bars in Bangkok maybe closed for the HRM sister funeral from the 14th Nov, With the greatest respect to the royal family i have no problem with this, but it just might make me change my plans slightly.

Has anyone received any news on this?

Head out from the "tourist" trap.......doubt then you'll notice the difference.

That's probably the least likely place you find any nightlife, in my experience.

I know there's the "well a couple of days aint going to hurt you" brigade, well that's fine if your resident, but i only have a short trip this time and was planning to meet up with some friends in Bangkok on the 14th for a couple nights out on the town.

If it is the case, I'll probably head straight to sin city.
