Bars Closed On The 14th Nov For 3 Days

Featured Replies

Been reading on another forum that the bars in Bangkok maybe closed for the HRM sister funeral from the 14th Nov, With the greatest respect to the royal family i have no problem with this, but it just might make me change my plans slightly.

Has anyone received any news on this?

Say it is not true, I am flying into BKK on the 15th :o

Doubt it will be for 4days, expect a 1 day ban then probably a soft/quiet opening of bars - lights on, no music, and toned down revelry. However guess we will see.... :o

Head out from the "tourist" trap.......doubt then you'll notice the difference.

That's probably the least likely place you find any nightlife, in my experience.

I know there's the "well a couple of days aint going to hurt you" brigade, well that's fine if your resident, but i only have a short trip this time and was planning to meet up with some friends in Bangkok on the 14th for a couple nights out on the town.

If it is the case, I'll probably head straight to sin city.

Have to agree when its quiet and you are being served in a coffee mug - it isn't much fun. :o The whole vibe changes.....

At last peace of mind .
