Hey C:

Both went great, 5 day Tactical Krav Maga, we had a great crew, into training hard, down at kombat muay thai camp.

I was not actually training on the seminar, re a few commitments, but I was in & out twice every day, when you do that

the interesting thing, is you really notice people improve & start to "click" into place. Lads on day 1 who are not as

physical or akward on agility (thats me after 25 years in martial arts, 2 left feet), & lack the AAAHHHHHGGGGGGRRRRR

agression mentality, & cannot help thinking, "I wonder will that chap, "click" into the Krav Maga by end of seminar".

Well time & time again, I notice this, always on afternoon of Day 3, you see the lads who were in the slower, not

really getting it at all on Day 1. its like BANG!!! Day 3 they improve so fast, its like a totally different person, & that

increases on day 4-5. The aggression comes out, & its the group energy that pulls everyone along on these seminars.

In a weird way, it reminds me (& I love to find a download of this please if anyone can point me in the right direction).

Reminds me of the 1982 BBC Documentary & probably one of the first real "fly on the wall" 8 week documentary,which

was quite famous about a bunch of new recruits from day 1 until training & passing out done... "The Para's",

& watching the show you see teenage gormless youths, who hardly new to clean their ears, evolve into soldiers,

& they nearly made it to the Maldivas re capture... eeerrrr.... the General Belgrano Sinking war crime... eerrr

ah yes... now I remember The Falklands War.. (Just poking some fun as you know,

Adams, Martin McGuiness & Ian Paisley are all greart friends now, (Thank God), ...say Micko Mc Paddy! :-) )

Actually speaking of Tactical Krav Maga training, the agression needed, "The Paras" is a great documentary

to watch the cultivation of the needed agression, regardless of military or civilian, that aggression level is

needed to win in a real hard full on adult street confrontation if you got no choice to defend yourself.

Plus I can see it my mind, The Paras documentry showed "Milling" the full on punch up 1 minute drills

they do in the basic training, we actually had most people on the Tactical Krav Maga Pattaya course

do the extact same on their 1st day... Ok we wore israeli IDF body protectors as Itay Gil uses on

Human Weapon & head gear & supervise the safety, however

its still the real deal not much different from the Para Regiment "Milling" as seen on The Paras.

C, for the milling, I made sure I jumped in & did my 2 mills, just to keep my "wings" up to date.

Was great fun! LOL.

shooting course is back in June, (there is a bit more to this course,) also 90% confirmed is there

will be 5 day Pattaya Tactical Krav Maga Seminars in March & October 2009, not sure yet C, if

Carl is going to add in the 3 day leigh was on with me in Mar & October... it will be on the

web site, maybe pop him an email down in Aus & ask, as sooner you have an idea which is on when

easier for you to plan. V sorry you could not make krav maga clay pigeon shoot, as was looking

forward to the craic, it transpired again, I was not in the part of the shooting course, who

developed excellence by day 3 , I can email you mobile phone clips of it... very funny it

was.

Actually, we had great fun on the seminars slagging all ourselves off, with a mix of Brits, Irish, Europeans, Indian, & Thai Navy Officers,

so it was like a political incorrect meeting of the UN. EVerytime Leigh did a live full contact krav maga drill, give him a terrible slagging,

but thats all the spirit, Mr C, of these no BS keep it simple Krav Maga Reality Based Self Defense seminars.

By the way C, can you mail me any links to good Kapap on the web. (all I can find is a mix with alot of Israeli Point Shooting scenes, & gun removals, what I really want to see, which is what is the secret to civilian self defense is the basic combatives in Kapap, basics 2 or 3 stikes + massive aggression = good self defence! :-)

By the way the Instructor on the Israeli Point shooting course, when full time IDF was in (sp?)Sayeret Duvdevan & sort of

to do with Kapap, was telling me Denis Hannover (who was lined to kapap & was the old south african guy on Krav Maga Human weapon)

his son taught him krav maga when they did the intensive special krav maga training for Sayeret Duvdevan. showed me a few things too.
