NanLaew
NOTHING else is coming down or is likely to come down. This is probably going to be the lightest/shortest 'high-season' which means there won't be any sudden price breaks. You may find brand name hotels offering discounted rates to extend your stay but the average 2-3 star place will probably start dropping any complimentary breakfasts or free airport shuttles. Around March '09 the government agencies will realise that what they have got is all they are gonna get and then they will start to restructure for the global recession and the fallout from the airports circus. kevkev1888
The fireworks are placed in bars feet from you, also watch out for the scammers last year a guy paid 1000 baht for what looked like a nucluer war head, when he lit it there was a small roman candle taped in the spent nuclear war head..Los is Los the fireworks are unreal, its the wildest night ever watch out for the drunk moronic falangs that apart its worth seeing. Soi 7 was like this all night long!CRAZY but great fun!! its where i will be again this year and then down to the beach for midnight to see fireworks all around the bay.
