Honda To Quit F1

Featured Replies

BBC has just reported the team is for sale, but if no buyer comes forward they will just close the team down. Maybe just the 1st of a few, along with Bernie doing his utmost to screw to sport up, another nail in the coffin.

the fact that honda f1 has no sponsors other than honda and that they only earned 14 points (1point = $1m) in 2008 is their main downfalls. the other factory teams all make good money from sponsors and points.

maybe they want to concentrate more on the honda domestic car range for geriatrics .

The huge amounts of money spent by motor company sponsors are justified by that "it helps developing road cars"

If Honda pull out it would indicate that they their product cannot compete in the market place.

Must be a bad move :D

A sad day for F1 and I feel so sorry for Jenson. I can see Toyota following before long and 9 teams for next year is not a good start to the season. It just makes it easier for Lewis to take tital number 2 :o

Hi

Yup bad news ... but surely Bernie has given a guarantee to the circuit owners that X amount of cars will appear, Bearing in mind that not that long ago 26 cars formed a grid and that last year (2007) 22 lined up it must be getting near crunch point.

I can see certain teams being given the go ahead to run 3 cars!

TBWG :o
