pausanius Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 I am coming to Thailand in a couple of months to work and as such will be obtaining a 90 day Non Immigration B Visa to eventually convert to 12 months once I have my Work Permit. My wife (neither of us are Thai) is coming with me as a dependant. I think she just gets a Non Immigration O that times itself to my visa (ie, when mine is extended to 12 months, so will hers). Anyone got any idea if I am on right track with this thinking? ??? Cheers
Indo-Siam Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 You are correct. She must file a separate application for extension of her entry permit (and pay separate fee), but both packets travel through the system together, and are approved together, with common expiration dates. We are presently processing a triple packet (husband, wife, and child) submitted in late June, and the turmoil at immigration does appear to be slowing down processing a bit. So - be prepared to have to obtain several interim work permits, matching the 30 day at a time extensions that immigration issues while they are processing your application. Good luck!
