There was a recent post regarding the mobile Thai passport office setting up in Pattaya for a spell.

Does someone have the link or know where and untill when the mobile office is working here?

The temporary office was set up last week at Nusa Playa Hotel Jomtien Beach, don't know if there are plans for more visits but staff at Nusa Playa might have some info.

Thanks Jonny. I just tracked down the OP and they have moved on. Oh well, never mind. I can do the needful after Christmas back up in Udon where they opened a full-serve Thai passport office last summer.

It was being advertised on Sophon a couple od weeks back as being in Soi 13 from about 8th December dor a week or more - but really do not see wjat the purpose id - most Thai passport applications need plenty pf computer checks to validate.

If the application can be submitted locally at the mobile unit, it saves the trip to the main office does it not?

In my case, my wife's Thai passport needs the endorsement stamp for the name change after marriage and if they can accept this for processing at the mobile unit, it saves a drive to BKK and dicking about in the main passport office. They can return by EMS post as usual.

You can easily go to the Bang Na office, which saves a wait at the main office on Chang Wattana.

Bang Na... Chang Wattana... it's still NOT Pattaya is it? It's at least +3 hours driving (round-trip) whereas visiting the mobile on Jomtien Soi 13 would be a 20 minute drive. Oh well.
