Hello,

Anyone has any updated information? Is it still on schedule for 2010, or should we assume the same will happen as the Thonburi extension? and add a couple of years to be on the safe side?

Has anyone actually seen any work being completed, ie. support pillars etc?

Thank you.

Do you not live in BKK?

It is certainly taking shape, and it looks like it might be up an running by 2010.

Stations are now being put in place, it's quite interesting to see how an empty shell of a station looks.

Thonburi stations are due to be open in April 2009 according to Wikipedia - does anyone know if this is accurate or not?

The Thonburi stations have been scheduled to open for a year now, so I am not holding my breath. My condo management says April is the scheduled date, but that has changed before.

This all has to do with a p***ing match between the two local governments on which controlling system is to be used to control the trains.

a few days ago around bang Na, on my way to the airport, I even have seen a locomotive slowly moving on the tracks - looked like a few workers were doing/checking the electric wires. I haven't noticed any other job being done, maybe within the stations
