We are a dutch family living in HuaHin Thailand. Currently we have an international health insurance from the Netherlands which we find quite expensive.

After a long search we have found the policy and costs of a French Insurance company called: APRIL Mobility. The policy is: ASIA expat policy,. For the countries: Combodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philipines, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam.

But we realize, cost is not the only quality aspect. Customer orientation, readiness and availability are other important aspects to consider.

Does anyone have any experience with this company or other information??

Thx. in advance

Hi Wim,

I just was last 2 months in Hua Hin as I have a house there. I met the insurance agent of APRIL Mobilite opposite of the entrance of Takiap temple ( same entrance as Car Wash). He told me that he has quite many clients for this health insurance. The advantage is not just because cheap in price but to be a member for LIFETIME. That makes the difference. However the other insurances are, good, bad or expensive, the problem is : if you would like to get older than 65 years and still have insurance or if you like to be kicked out of the contract when reaching the age-limit.

Try to find other insurance for lifetime. Tell me if you found one. I found in Germany one company only but very very expensive ( approx. 1800 EURO per year for age over 65 and every year approx. 120 - 160 EUR more ...) But APRIL is about 1500 US Dollars which means about 1100 EUR .

So I think this is a way to be " in " and no fear to get kicked out because (hopefully) getting old.

I met in the Hua Hin resort "Lotuswell" (lotuswell.com) some member of APRIL Mobilite, being happy with it.

In Lotuswell there are only "deutsch sprechende" clients from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Holland most of them retired or going to be retired in near future. So same problems regarding age.

I think I will subcribe with APRIL next time coming to HH.

Regards, groeten , gruesse.

Trying to find out about 'April' we find it is a French company.

At Thai Visa Insurance we can offer you 'Pacific International' which is not only one of the worlds' big medical insurance underwriters but also based in Hong Kong and is more 'in tune' with this part of the world. Pacific International will also cover you for elsewhere in the world, not just S.E.A.

April Mobilité is a French company, specialised in health insurance for expatriates. They have an ad running everyday on TV5 (French TV station broadcasting worldwide).

Don't know how good they are in the thai market.

ThaivisaInsurance: if you are interested in selling their health insurance policies, the website you should connect to is [reason for edit url removed].
