Getting A Thai Atm + Bank Account

Featured Replies

i just want the account because sometimes i can not pay for stuff online in thailand with a non thai address atm/credit card

i want a simple account which allows a cash deposit in Thai Baht to open the account.

any recommendations? thanks.

Kasikorn Bank have a virtual online debit card once you have an account with them and apply for online banking.

They apear to be the only one doing this.

Other banks Debit Cards cannot be used online. Your chances of getting a Credit Card are not very good.

That question is asked often. Yes you can open an account at most banks. But some times you just have try different ones.

Here is some info that found earlier on Bangkok Banks website. It does mention a work permit but there are other things that can be used so you don't need it. One is getting a residence certificate that you can get from immigration at no charge.
