I just moved from City View Condo to Hillside 3 on Nimmanhemin and am looking for a place nearby where I can go for a few beers. Since I speak very little Thai it would have to be ex-pat friendly, but not necessarily an ex-pat only bar. I know there are dozens of student bars here, but I'm a little old for that--I enjoy a bar with a range of age groups, but don't like being twice the age of the second oldest customer. I'm also not fond of rap music and am uncomfortable in gay bars, other than that I'm pretty open minded. Any suggestions?

you could try The Pub At Huey Keow going towards Doi Suthep near the Rincome intersection.

I second the above. It's a cozy little joint, and the couple of meals i've had there were spot on.

Seems promising. Is it before or after the intesection as I'm heading towards Doi Suthep on Huey Keow? Is it easily visible from the road or does it take a bit of searching?

Never mind, I found it on the MapMagic Chiang Mai program. I've not found the Drunken Flower though.
