I'm a freelance journalist and often contribute to Thai-based publications as well as those abroad. But I can't find out how to claim for a non-B visa or work permit. Is there anything available for people like me who aren't tied to one particular company? In the article on this website that contains an interview with an immigration chief, he says that, with the new visa rules coming into force next year, exceptions have been made for foreign journalists because we are of benefit to Thailand. (The exception is made because we don't earn that much apparently - which is true!!)

Any suggestions?? :o
