I'm currently on an ED visa, and I have a company which would like to hire me. I don't know the process in order to get from my ED visa to a proper Immigrant B visa with work permit and I don't think the person hiring me is in the "know" about a difinite route to take either. Can someone shed some light on how this may be accomplished?

Step 1: Apply for the work permit. Your employer should do that for you.

Step 2: With the receipt for the work permit application and the required company documents, go to a Thai consulate and get a non-B visa.

Step 3: After your return to Thailand, pick up the work permit when it is ready.

Step 4: Go to your local immigration office and apply for an annual extension of stay for employment.
