Charly2008
I just met yesterday an older guy from the UK, he is here with a Visa on arrival, but wants to stay overall for two month, he had the plan to make a visa run to Cambodia in order to get the next 30 days, but that's just good for 15 days, as he plans to make the road trip. What can he do? Is it possible to get two times 15 days? Or can he perhaps go to the immigration with his return ticket and get an extension? He has anyway a lot of questions, as he plans to get married and retired here. Can anyone provide contact details (by PM) to an english speaking lawyer perhaps with phone number, then he can get the legal advises out of a relaible source. He is living form his little pension, therefore the lawyer shouldn't be to expensive. I asked him to post here in the forum, but he is 65 years old and has no idea about computer. Thanks in advance, cheers, Charly
lopburi3
Yes he can make two runs but why not visit Vientiane and get a free tourist visa which will provide 60 days stay? He can only get 7 day extension with ticket. Retirement requires Thai bank account with 800k in it for two months or Embassy letter of 65k per month income or a combination of the two. Very easy one form to apply and no need for lawyers. If you want to relay for him we can probably answer any questions.
Lite Beer
Yes. Get a Torist Visa from Vientianne for free. BTW He does not have a VOA,
Charly2008
thanks for the information, I guess the 2 runs are better for him, as from here to Aranyaprathe are only 120 km, but to Vientianne are perhaps more the 500 km.
