I loved it because I could arrange trips into the wilderness for months at a time. I didn't make much money but I had a marvelous life full of wonderful experiences that I wrote about for magazines. I only retired because I couldn't add anymore to my pension and they offered to buy me out when they were downsizing. I don't regret one minute of the time I spent working.
