I am told that because of the ASEAN summit being held at the Royal Cliff, there have been temporary road closures and a one way system introduced around Jomtien beach, Thepprasit road and Thappraya Rd.

The police and city hall officials are not allowing people to park their cars on certain sides of roads, even if it is outside their place of business. This all means that simply wanting to go out for a few beers, some mischief or a meal can be turned into a logistical nightmare!

To throw another thing into the mix, this morning there were truck loads of red shirt chappies making lots of noise at the junction of Thepprasit Rd, leading all the way up Thappraya Road and I am told that we can expect to see more of them over the next few days!

Never mind, next week we can all look forward to Songkran when everything will be back to normal :o
