Us Navy Arriving?

Featured Replies

I read somewhere that this coming weekend the US Navy will arrive in Pattaya (at the same time the ASEAN meeting takes place). The mixture of Red Shirt protesters, US Navy and the start of Songkhran could turn into a very interesting cocktail of chaos.... :o

The way things are shaping up, be surprised if their visit is allowed to go ahead?

this weekend will be a treble Whammy - Asean security means tight security and bars on best behaviour; thousands of Marines descending for a week; and lastly large number of girls leaving town for Thai New Year to "tamboon" in their village with their families.

Oh and i forgot the odd red shirt popping up as well !!

Yeah seems like the time to look for the hidden gems in Pattaya....and avoiding the mainstream! :-)

Great.....Just as I gear up to leave for Thailand tonight.

How will this effect my big night out on the grog Friday?
