GungaDin Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Any good news? Epson or any other make. My printer, the 915, has been in storage for nearly 5 years, who can I take it to to have a clean up service? Cheers gd
astral Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 http://www.epson.co.th/ might help if you read Thai. I can't see an English button. On a personal level I had an Epson a few years back. The heads were permanent and clogged with any non - Epson ink. Replacement heads were 7000 baht each for BW and colour. I ended up dumping the printer.
fabianfred Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Yes, I would agree that any printer which has stopped working through lack of use should be dumped. The Epson Durabrite ink gave excellent results and very good permanence, being resin based instead of dye based, but would dry quicker and prove difficult if the printer was not used regularly. A new printer and big tank set-up is the cheapest way to go.
GungaDin Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 Hi, thanks for replying. I also have a Canon printer & another Epson 870 in storage. So I have to dump $1200 worth of printers because the inkjets cannot be cleaned? There is something very wrong here if that's the case!
