Needs links pls.

Whilst doing my 90 day report down at the Suan Plu zoo yesterday which took over an hour, bloody disgrace, I saw that they have a Re Entry Permit On Line window. How does this work?

I had planned to do this at the same time as the report but the ques were far too long.

For the last few years all of my Imm business was handled by Samut Prakan office which was nice and easy, unlike the zoo.

Thanks in advance.

This from immigration website.

For a re-entry permit,if you are in Bangkok area and you have an Internet access, you could fill in a TM. 8 form and send it to [email protected]

— You should e-mail the completed form 1 day in advance.

— You have to submit a 2" photo and pay a permit fee at counter 7, the Immigration Bureau (soi suanplu office.)

Also they have a new online system. No reports yet on how well it works.

It works a treat. We were in and out in 5 mins, yesterday (wednesday), around 10am.

Sent the email off two days before. Handed in passport outside at the kiosk, invited to come in and wait for the stamped passport.

Be aware this is using the email system as outlined on main web page - not the new online application web site mentioned by Joe (at least that is my understanding).

As I dint have to travel for a week or two I will give the Immigration Dept a wide berth until next week, I'm sure they will be overworked at the moment due to the holidays they will have this week, I will then file my report on their online service.

I do have another question, for the last 8 years or so, I have been given a yearly extension to my Non B based on the fact that I meet all the requirements to do so whilst working here. I've now been told by a friend that as I have a work permit, I don't need to do the 90 day report, if this is true then its new to me. I rarely travel, maybe only once every 9 months or so so I have always kept up the 90 day reporting.

So do I really need to do this 90 day report or not?

Thanks again in advance.

If you are on any extension of stay you have to do the 90 day reports if you are in the country for more than 90 days. There are no exceptions.

Just to confirm, finally............I echo Sam.

I found the TM8 form on the Immigration website and sent it to their special email address stated on the website. I have to say that filling in the form using the automated spaces on the form was somewhat mickey mouse as their was not enough space for some of the details but it did the trick anyway. I sent this email on Monday with a covering email with all of my personal details saying I would be there Wednesday to collect. I rang the outdoor buzzer at 3.15pm, gave them the passport, photo and $$$, then invited to wait inside, by the time I walked into the building the passport was ready.

Not often I give Immigration a 9/10
