You can get another 90 days by doing a border run just before the VISA expires. If it is a Multi Entry. Note the actual date on your VISA not the passport.

You can work with this if you have a Work Permit.

I have the same visa (non-O multiple entry) and is expiring in 9 days and was wondering if I can just go to the immigration and pay money like the 90 day reporting thing.

Or is that not possible and I have to do that visa run?

Thanks

A multiple O cannot be extended and you will need to get a new visa from abroad, unless you qualify for a one year extension of stay. That would be depending on the reason of your stay. (Marriage to a Thai, retrement, etc.)

When does your multiple non-O expires? If you leave and re-enter the country just before the visa itself expires you can get a new permission to stay for 90 days.

Sorry, it was my entry stamp expiring. The visa itself expires in Feb 2010. I entered the country in Feb and so they gave me a 90 day stamp.

Can I renew extend the stamp without leaving the country?

Thanks

Not for more than 7 days. Any such action involving your passport getting a new 90 day entry is illegal. Cross a border, get stamped into other country and return for the legal 90 day stay.

You have to leave and re-enter the country.

Unless you qualify for a 1 year extension of stay. IE: retirement, marriage to a Thai, or have a child that is Thai.

I do qualify as I am married to a Thai, that was how I got my non-O multiple in the first place. So do I just go to the immigration and get that done? I don't have to travel to any "central" office in BKK or something like that do I?

Do you again need to show/demonstrate savings or income?

thanks

Yes, you have to show an income of 40,000 a month OR 400,000 in a Thai bank account for 2 months in your name. Income can be from abroad an then has to be proven by letter from your embassy. Incoem from within Thailand by tax documents.

You will also need to bring your wife, marriage certificate, wife's household book, ID of you and your wife, map to your house, pictures of you and your wife in and around the house. Better have your wife first contact immigration to see what they exactly need.

Make sure your wife reports your stay to immigration.

Application is done at the immigration office of your area.

Alternatively you can get a 60 day extension based on your marriage.
