Thai Summer Rolls (fresh Spring Rolls)

Featured Replies

Does anyone know the Thai language name for Thai fresh spring rolls also known as summer rolls - these are not deep fried but eaten fresh in rice paper wrappings - thanks!

ปอเปี้ยะสด [porpia sot] - though they're not actually Thai - rather, they're Vietnamese.

Hi there ice or newbie, Man your're in luck cause this is one of my fav . Go to Nong Khai for a re-stamp and eat on the river yum and take home a box to cook of get these Nam Meung or go to Vienchin ya know in Lao and get the best ....roll your own and cold beer. O well rice wrapper factory on the river up there fresh.

WHEN my wife makes them (not often enough for me) she also makes a very thin sliced carrot and honey sauce to go with them.

I usually burn my tongue on the first few and I am OK after that.

The Vietnamese ones I have eaten are usually larger then the Thai ones which are about thumb sized.
