In every country there will be an area or a center or a street where they sell lots of art supplies, tools, papers, wood, etc. There are lots of artists out there in Thailand. So where do they frequent when they need to source for their supplies in Bangkok? I've been searching for quite some time but yet to know where to go to get stuff like that. Anyone?

I would be interested to know if you find somewhere.

What do the Thai artists say when you ask them?

It also depends on what kind of materials etc you want. For a few bits and pieces you can get them from B2S in Central World but I would guess you already know that.

Been searching since then. Found a 'Trend' chain at The Mall in Bangkapi that has some interesting stuff but not what I'm looking for. Got some pretty special handmade papers from JJ Mall at Chatuchak, nice range of papers at 555 plus in MBK but not enough choice of dimension. But well, still searching!

I deal with a lot of artists from Vietnam and Thailand and do not know of anywhere where you can get what I would regard as top quality materials in either country.

Straits Commercial in Singapore is a top quality art supply shop - it is located in Northbridge Road. They sell Claessens linen (fine weave), Rembrandt and Old Holland oils (not zinc oxide based) but pure pigments and say linseed oil. I am not an expert on such matters but Clara Wong who runs the business certainly knows her stuff and will advize you accordingly.

Prices are high, as you might expect, but a US$1200 roll of canvas would probably last you at least 5 years. Choosing quality materials is particularly important given the climate.

I noticed a nice little shop in "The Old Siam" shopping centre on the ground floor, plenty of colours, but did not take a close look.
