Bangkok Photographer Wins Top Photo Prize in Tampa Florida.

Visiting photographer Wimolnan Lemphacherawong took top honors at the

Tampa Bay Photo Club this month with her print entitled Blacksmith Sparks.

The photo was taken at Heritage Village in New Port Richie, Florida.

Miss Lemphacherawong is a resident of Ramintra road, Kannayao in

Bangkok and is a senior computer consultant at Accel Integration Co.,

Ltd., Bangkok. She is visiting friends in the Tampa area.

Her camera is a Nikon D60

I might add that her Nikon camera was made in Thailand as most Nikon's are today~!!

Nikon's factory in Thailand is located about 100 km. north of Bangkok. Ten years ago Thailand was chosen as the factory site because of its perceived political stability, low energy prices, favorable tax laws and that Thai workers are loyal, skilled, and take pride in their work which they did for relatively low wages. The factory has now been in operation for 8 years and the quality is first class. Of the 1100 employees only 13 are Japanese.

...and this news is a few years old. Even the Flagship D3 Camera and many lenses are now made in Thailand
