Logging In

Featured Replies

I have to log in via an odd method.

If I try to log in normally, I am logged in and then immediately and automatically logged out. However, if I log in by trying to post whilst not logged in and then getting an error message, I am logged in successfully.

In addition, the function that automatically keeps me logged in no longer works so I need to log in every time I visit the site.

This problem may be related to cookies.

Any advice?

Still no change. Any ideas anyone?

I had tried clearing my cache.

I just tried clearing my cache again and clearing cookies but the result was no different.

Still can't get it working.

I've noticed as well emoticons are often not displayed and I can't view some links.

Mystified.

The quote feature does not work either.

I have reset your forum skin Briggsy. Let me know if that solves the problem

No, but thanks for trying.

What browser are you using?

And did you log out before clearing cache and cookies?

Firefox

I've now discovered this problem is specific to my computer. I tried logging in on the computer at work and it's fine.

So I'll try clearing my cache and deleting cookies on my computer both before and after logging out. And failing that I'll try a different browser.

Thanks again.

I've also discovered the problem, which still persists, is specific to Firefox on my computer. Explorer works fine.

Whoopee! Yippee!

:):D

I figured it out.

Thaivisa had become a specifically cookie-blocked site on Firefox. I don't know how that happened but once I specifically unblocked Thaivisa, it worked fine again.

good news. And thanks for letting us know your solution, its a potential solution for others who may encounter the same problem
