I have a three months non-imm O based on visiting Thai wife and child, issued in Penang.

What sort of extension can I get at immigration in Bangkok ?

(Let's assume that I have no income and no money in the bank.)

You can get a 60 day extension to visit you wife but only one time (no back to back extensions).

Just show marriage certificate, wifes house book and ID card plus copies. Then copies of your passport pages and departure card. One photo and application for extension TM7 and 1900 baht.

Ubonjoe, does this mean that you can get more than one of these extensions as long as they aren't back to back?

Once a year?

Thanks

I think you could probably get away with getting more than one in a year. In fact I think you could probably get away with getting another single non-o and get another 60 after that. It would just depend upon the immigration office you went to.

I just noticed that they took out the once in the new police order but I don't they would give them to you back to back.

The problem is that the two visas have an expiry date which is only 3months from issue, you are allowed one 60day extension on each Visa So your second tourist visa will not be valid when you do your BR.

BUT unless you are willing to do a Consulate trip every 120days for a new tourist visa...

you are pretty much between the 8 ball and the cushion.

I have just done my second visa's extension with a page stapled in saying that I must report by 15 July for 90day reporting, I would have thought that the extension form gives my address for the next 60days. So that is this officers interpretation of the rules. Never done that before.

The OP is not asking about a tourist visa, but about extensions of stay for someone who entered with a non-immigrant O.

Sorry, not even pi$$ed so no excuse for not reading properly.

This seems to be the definite answer. Thank you very much, for helping me.

Taking the wife along also helps.

Enjoy your extra 60 days.

Normally the date that you get an extension that will take you over the 90 day mark is the date that your 90 day reports start.

If you don't plan on getting another extension and will be leaving the country I would not worry about the report due on the 15th. Otherwise you should make the report because some immigration offices do things their own way.

He appears to be doing a second extension (calling it visa) so the time is from the previous 90 day report or last entry. Only the first extension of stay counts as a 90 day report. But I could be reading the tea leaves wrong as post is not clear on what/where/why/how to me.
