Up here in the village the local pharmacist has been badgering me to take Neuviplex Thiamine supplements. She says it is good for people of my age (57) Vitamins. B2. B6. B12.

Does it really do anything if taken regularly or a waste of money?

The B groupd vitamins are water soluble; meaning that they will be excreted via urine if taken in excess. Good "test of thumb" is that the B group gives an intense yellow colour to the urine and a distinct smell. So no harm in taking a few tabs and, if this happens, you may only be producing expensive urine!

All the B goup has beneficial effects on blood and nervous systems and will be useful in treating any of these. Specific vitamins in the group for specific conditions.

Best!

I have been injecting myself with vitamin b (intra musculair) because most of it is broken down by the digestive system. You will have to take a lot and so its more cost effective to inject. I have read many things about this and many athletes seem to benefit from it. The only reason why i dont do it regularly is because injecting is not that much fun. If done by someone else in my glutes its ok but administering it myself in the thigh is not my favorite past time.

Strange, I got there directly through a google link but now shows a login page. Reminder to self, test links I post. :)

Seems the Google cache copy works.

Vit B complex also don't need to be injected to be effective or absorbed.

In cases of a condition called "pernicious anaemia" it does (b12) as this is an anaemia that develops as a result of the absence of "intrinsic factor" secreted in the stomach which is essential for the absorption of the vitamin

There are reports about the absorption and the problem with digestion. I would not do it if i knew that taking them by tablet would give the same results i would. Nobody likes sticking a needle in his body (unless your a masochist). I have not found an english report.. But it was in Dutch on some Dutch sites.

A Western nurse told me the benefits of Thiamen (and other B-vitamins) and I did a lot of reading from research.

Thiamen is also good for the brain, and if you drink it's a big help. I take a Vitamin B-complex with Thiamen every day, and have been doing so for years.

Highly recommended, and yes, they're water soluble.
