The Post What You Want Challenge!

Featured Replies

As it's encourage to start challenges I came up with this one.

The Post What You Want Challenge

Please read the rules before making a submission

Rules:

1. No comments allowed

2. Only 1 image per entry max dimensions 800 x600

3 Submissions must have a title

3. Submissions must be your own work

4. After making a submission wait until at least 3 other submissions have been submitted before post a new image

5 At least 5 votes for the previous image must be posted before a submission can be made

How it works:

After a submission is made members can then give a vote from 1 to 10

Voting is the only 'commenting' allowed, a score between 1 and 10 no words, just digits 1 to 10.

After an image has received at least 5 votes, a new submission can be made and this stops the voting on the previous submission and so on.

In the seldom event of your vote ending up on the wrong submission that is just hard luck.

As no comments are allowed, this challenge should run itself requiring minimum admin intervention. In the case of rule #1 being broken the admins will hopefully remove any comments made. Commenting will disqualify you from submitting images in this challenge.

Who wins?

At the start of each month the votes for each submission are counted and averages are found. The highest scoring image is the winner for the previous month. I will break the no comment rule only to name challenge winner no later than the 3rd of each month.

When does the challenge finish?

It doesn't

What is the prize

Whatever you want to give yourself.

Have fun :)

Btw No Comments!!!

Challenge re-opened.

First off, please read the rules set out in the challenge. If someone is not following the rules rather than comment please use the report button and ask a mod on duty to remove the offending post.

Secondly, there are amateurs posting on this forum as well so lets spare a thought for their feelings and try to couch our criticisms in constructive ways designed to encourage people rather than scare them off.

This is a public forum and open to all members. Lets bear that in mind when posting.

Oh dear! :D Just for clarification I hope. I apologize if i didn't make things clear enough.

After a submission is made members can then give a vote from 1 to 10

Voting is the only 'commenting' allowed, a score between 1 and 10 no words, just digits 1 to 10. There is no need to write which image you are giving a vote, as you can only vote for the last submission made.

After an image has received at least 5 votes, a new submission can be made and this terminates the voting on the previous submission and so on.

You can only vote for one image and that being the 'last submission made' and while the voting is open, voting is closed on an submission as soon as a new submission is made according to the rules ( An image posted on a submission must have received at least 5 member votes before any member can post a new submission. An image can receive any amount of votes until a new image is posted in accordance to the rules, thus terminating voting on the previous image.

Hopefully the below will help to further clarify.

-----------------------------------------------

lordsux - Butterfly Macro.jpg :)

-----------------------------------------------

Astral - 7

-----------------------------------------------

Hughden - 6

-----------------------------------------------

Mr Wolf - 7

-----------------------------------------------

Jing Jing - 8

----------------------------------------------

BkkRat - 5

----------------------------------------------

A new image can now be submitted as the previous image has received 5 votes, an image can receive votes until voting on that image is terminated. Voting on an image terminates as soon as a new image is posted in accordance to the rules You can only vote for the last image posted.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope that helps clarify things.

As it stands now the only valid image is Butterfly Macro and it needs 3 more votes before a new image may be submitted. All other images /votes on this thread are invalid.

Following LordSux clarification I have tidied up the thread.

7 (just to help things along, butterfly now needs a minimum of 2 more votes before a member is allowed to post a new image, voting stops on Butterfly as soon as a new image is posted, as long as it is posted according to the rules)

  • Author

Now Butterfly Macro has received the mimimum votes a new image can now be posted. As soon as another image is posted voting terminates on Butterfly Macro and starts on the newly submitted image. I'll count that as a 7 skipvice :)

Good, we are getting there :D

Only one image at a time.

Duke is the current image.

Astral

I give up, tried to post twice following the rules and get posted on top of it, so i give up.

I didn't take into account that people would edit their submission and change the image.

'Duke' needs 1 more vote. (will let it slip this time, in the spirit of the challenge) Then a new submission can be made. Sorry Gazz, but you will have to wait until at least 3 images have been submitted before 'Frog in a Flower' can be reposted.

Frog in a Flower is an 'invalid submission'

10 :D

Yours truly,

Win from Kan :D

P.S. That is how I sign off :) each time. :D
