Rabies Shots

I got bitten by a dog and will have rabies shots, apparently it's 5 shots over a month.

The doctor said I can drink, but not too much. Does anyone have any info on this? I generally have a couple of beers each night, however my parents and sister have just arrived so we plan quite a few dinners etc.

The post exposure regimen for Rabies is reasonably intense and you may experience a low grade fever and feel a bit unwell but alcohol itself will not have an impact on the development of immunity.
