Parking On Busy Roads?

Featured Replies

If the kerb stones aren't painted (yellow/white, red/white, black/white) and there are no other signs, you can park where you want.

I wouldn't park or stop on a busy road anyway. If someone "hit" you, you'll hardly get any money of them.

Dont forget, Dont park facing the oncoming traffic its illegal in Thailand :)

when is it ok to park in the left lane on sukhumwit road or rama iv?

Sukhumvit Road is actually quite long, goes all the way towards Cambodia, so I'm sure you'll find somewhere.

:):D

When you wanna stop. Stop ! Who's going to spoil your day the BOB could not give a poo so what's your problem.

If the curbs are painted, you shouldn't park there, but if its just to drop someone off its alright. If its not painted then you can park there. I don't think the entire main sukhumvit road is painted, I drive by pretty often and I don't remember, but anyways you shouldn't park unless its to drop someone off real quick. There are also no parking signs on sidewalks.

If you park and leave your car at painted curbs, you have a high chance of getting your wheels lock by the police if one happens to pass by it.

And yes, don't park on busy roads, you will cause a major traffic jam.
