This Vodafone K3805-Z @ £16.72(820 baht) delivered is not a bad deal for anyone moving between the UK and Thailand and wanting to use AIS 3G and/or TOT 3G, as it is rated HSDPA(Download) up to 14.4Mbps HSUPA(Upload) up to 5.76Mbps.

Comes with 2 GB of data use in the UK lasting for 30 days.(activate the SIM only when ready to use). When in Thailand, use a different connection manager, such as the O2 Connection Manager by installing the modem as usual and then closing down the Vodafone connection manager and running the O2 software.

Then enter the AIS 3G or TOT 3G SIM card and profile and away ye go.

The modem itself is not locked, it's just that Vodafone use a restrictive Dashboard. Hence the need to use an alternative in the form of O2's connection software.
