Women arrested for playing cards

It's not known if any money or gambling equipment were confiscated

At 10pm on February 22, Police Major Sutaam Chawsitawng, crime suppression inspector, received a tip-off about a Pie-bok game taking place in Maagerruen Apartments, on Pattaya Third Road. Pie-bok is a game similar to Pok Pat Pok Gow, a card game.

A team of officers led by the police major went to room 204 and entered the premises discovering four women in the middle of a game. They were taken to the stationhouse, it's not known if any money or gambling equipment were confiscated.

They were identified as Sumaalee Fangsa, 25, the organizer and tenant of the room; Gaanotwan Churat, 25; Nongyaeow Onenaajit, 35; and Ooraaywan Yortaasee, 28.

It's not known what happened to the quartet.

Amazing part is it sounds like they raided the place with storm troopers. Far more pressing issues to worry about such as robberies and murder, not a bloody card game! :o

It took a `Team` of Police Officers to break up this ladies card game....what a waste of resources......yes it sounds as though someone is getting their revenge...

Probably the husband of one of the women, who had gambled the week's housekeeping away :o

Yes, yes, I know. It doesn't say that any money was involved, but that's because it went into someone's pocket.
