Comprehensive Insurance For Motorbike

Featured Replies

I am considering buying a second hand bike probably either a honda phantom or a honda silver wing or similar depending what is available in my budget. I have been told by a friend that if I buy a second hand bike I will not be able to get first class insurance for it.

It is imperative that I would be able to have it insured for theft or accident damage, if not I am going to have to reconsider and buy a new bike which I believe can be insured fully comp for the first three years.

Can anyone please advise me further on this matter?

Mmmmm, strange - of course you can get 1st Class insurance on a second hand motorcycle. Maybe your friend means you cannot insure a small motorcycle for 1st Class if it is over 5 years old ?
