Platinum Motorbikes Phuket

Featured Replies

does anyone know if and where the platinum motorbike dealership is in phuket???

There is none. They shut over a year ago. The two buildings they occupied in Phuket Town, (the original and a larger one they moved into later on) are both still empty but all the signage is still up. Many Platinum shops shut after Platinum couldn't/wouldn't supply them with replacement parts for the huge number of warranty repairs required of there substandard bikes. The cost of constanly repairing all the bikes put the dealerships out of business. (I bought a 1 year old PX 175 for peanuts anyway for next to nothing and it simply will not run for more that a day before I am taking back to the shop. And the shop I use is otherwise very good. When the dealer shut he left many new customers bikes without books or plates, including mine.

You can check here for current dealers in the south: http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y...history_state0=

Phuket is still on the website so who knows if the ones they show on the dealer locator are current. Looks like they have or had some in Krabi, Surrithani, and Hat Yai. If you looking to buy, I recommend reading what people say about their experiences on thiavisa first.

Good luck.
