Confused About Medicals And Police Report!

Help, I'm confused about the requirement for medicals and police report!

One thread I read said there is no requirement for police report for O visa, but required for O-A visa. What's the difference?

Another thread said there is a requirement for a medical if applying a retirement visa, but I've not read that elsewhere.

I'd appreciate it if someone can tell me if I need either if converting a tourist visa to marriage visa while in Thailand.

From what I've read on the forums, I can do that after I've got married in Thailand, provided I have 400,000 baht ( I've also read that 500,000 is needed, but i think that's wrong ) in the bank for 2 months, and the marriage licence, plus map of house.

An O-A visa is a retirement visa issued by a consulate.

You will be applying to Immigration in Thailand to convert your Tourist Visa to a Non Imm O visa.

There is no requirement for a Police Report or a Medical.

You do not need to show money to convert the visa, that will come later

when you want to extend the initial 90 days.

You need 400K in the bank for 2 months, or proof of an income of 40K a month.

These must be your own money, not your wife's.
