I'm making a personal visit to apply for a replacement PP for my current PP whish expires in a few months.

Is the public access to the Consular Section of the British Embassy in Bangkok still on Wireless Road?

What are the security restrictions? Do you have to leave your mobile phone at Security?

Wireless Road, yes. Frisked on the way in, they check your bag and ask you to switch phone off :)

Also,be prepared to be treated like the scum of the Earth, like something they stepped in on the way to work. :)

They seem too be pissed of at having to do anything when a ''' Fello Brit'''' walks in. :D

Enjoy your day,and do what i do,just say you lot are Civil Servants, remember that, first and foremost.

Same with the ambassy of the Netherlands.

Spoke to few people overthere and ALL agree to same unfriendly manners of ambassy people.

You can leave the phone switched on, but have to deposit it at the gatehouse office (May 2009).

Another one of the "Vest, Shorts and Flip-Flop Brigade" or maybe a "Benidorm Brit"?

In the seven years that I have been visiting there I have ALWAYS been treated with respect and courtesy. They treat their "Customers" as the customers treat them!!
