In the early hours of Sunday morning, Police Lieutenant Griengaiwoot from Banglamung Police station was called to house number 71/5 in Nong Plai Lai sub-district to investigate a suspected suicide. He arrived at the location to find the body of Khun Akadet aged 35 suspended from the ceiling by his neck. Police begun to investigate to determine the cause of his apparent suicide and discovered a suicide note addressed to his mother which told her to take care of his daughter. Also in the letter he mentioned how he had discovered he was suffering from the AIDS virus one week ago and could not bear the thought of a slow, painful death.
