Would anybody know of a specialized running/triathlon shop in Bangkok? I know the sports stores in the malls, but they are very general stores with no, for example, professional help to pick a good running shoe.

I am not aware of any such shop.

I do my homework about shoes and then hope to find them in one of the large shopping malls. You can also buy shoes at the running events, usually much cheaper than in the shops.

I gave up here (Phuket) and on trip back Unzud in July brought back an extra pair - New Balance this time but will keep wearing my Brooks till they die, best shoes I've ever had but couldn't get another pair in short time I was there. I got the Brooks on a podiatrist's recommendation, did the video/foot science stuff and worked for me, the NB were his other choice.

No luck whatsoever. Tried to get shoes for my wife as well but found that, even in the sports shops, staff have absolutely no clue. Guess I will get real shoes when I am back in the real world next year.
