Norwegian man attacked in late night Jomtien Beach robbery.

Police Captain Siripop, Inspector of Interrogation on-duty at Pattaya Police Station investigated a case involving an aggravated robbery on Jomtien Beach. The victim was Mr. John Slaazmo aged 42 from Norway who was accompanied by his girlfriend Khun Barichart aged 29. The pair explained to the Captain that they were sitting on Jomtien Beach taking in the sights and sounds when they were approached by two teenagers carrying planks of wood. Immediately and without notice, they hit the Norwegian man in the face with the wood. This left him understandably stunned and it was at this point the assailants stole 8,000 Baht in cash, 1 Visa card and a Sony Erickson mobile phone. Back at Pattaya Police Station Mr. Slaazmo was clearly shaken and was not able to give the Captain any descriptions of the men and was suffering from memory loss brought on by the attack. For now, the incident was logged and Police will investigate the case further.
