Sunday Football Leagues?

Featured Replies

Relatively new here and living in the countryside for a while with gf's family near Chachoengsao. Is there anything like a Sunday Football League setup here like in the UK and most other country's? You know, like proper grass, goals with nets and referee and linesman? I fancy more of a kickaround than some dusty park area stuff with the locals!

I realise there's the Prem League and Div 1 and Div 2 and Northern Leagues, but these sound like semi-pro leagues which I'm not good enough for. I want to play fat bastards on a Sunday morning who got pissed the night before down at the Dog and Duck. Any information would be appreciated!! Any farang based teams here near bangkok?

Thanks.

There is a casuals league playing Saturdays and Sundays in Bangkok. There is a Pattaya based team who play in it, with the rest from Bangkok.

Games are played at Pattana school, Suk 105. The pitches are pretty good and there are 2 leagues of mixed quality.

www.somtam.com is the website for the league and they have a facebook group also.

There is also a thread in the Bangkok section where a guy is setting up a team.

Depending on your age there is also the Vet's league which is held once a month on a Sunday.

if you want to watch a match, Chachoengsao has a team in Div 2 Central region. All info on these leagues here - www.thaileaguefootball.com

Sometimes the fan clubs play against each other before the match.
