You can go at any time BEFORE the visa expires, and get a 30 days extension (disclaimer here, not for all countries of origin, check). It doesn't matter if you go weeks in advance, the extension will be added to the end of your visa.

If you go after it expires, you will be pointed to the nearest border exit to pay overstay, leave and come back on a valid visa, or be arrested and put in IDC, depending on your behavior or the kind of bad day the officer is having...

So, go tomorrow :)

Normal procedure is to go during the week prior to expiration. As said you lose no days by doing so as the time starts at the end of your current permitted to stay stamp.

Everybody is assuming you mean your permit to stay date (60days from date of entry) not visa experation date.

They are not the same thing. If you have a 2 entry visa from a nearby consulate it will have an experation date 90 days after issue. If it is 2 entry visa you need to use the 2nd entry before this date.

* i did my first entry with triple tourist visa about 9 days ago ;

but the first entry doesnt mean anything i guess;

and first of november 2009 it will be the first 2 months i spend here ;

and then i can ask for 1 month extention 1900 baht ; then go visa run again ..
