September 16, 200916 yr Anyone know where there is a TEFL training course?, where one could almost guarantee a certificate for taking the course, supposing that individual is not a complete moron. L&G
September 16, 200916 yr Surely, Shirley. Almost too many to list, but not 100% guaranteed to pass you.
September 16, 200916 yr TEFL Institute in Silom used to be good. Don't know about now but it was run by a German. I don't know about guaranteed pass though, but if you somehow managed to fail the TEFL course you should really think about a career change.
September 25, 200916 yr Try an online TEFL course, like the ones i-to-i do - I've heard that you get loads of chances to do all the assignments and they v. rarely fail anyone! Good luck!

October 9, 200916 yr Did mine at TEFL Institute, Silom. That was just over a year ago. The instructors were very helpful, and we got plenty of practical experience. I'd certainly recommend them. It is possible to fail it.
October 9, 200916 yr Pretty much by definition if there is a meaningful 'course' you can actually fail. I'd imagine that attendance, for example, is a minimum kind of requirement. From what I've heard, most courses are usually not beyond the pale for most people; though I have heard that they may have moments that rattle the closets of your grade & high school grammar years. I wouldn't be too afraid of them; but if you're that worried it might be a good sign that the whole 'teaching English' thing isn't where you really need to be thinking about an intense experience like a job or career.
