Being Diabetic Living In Thailand

Featured Replies

My husband and I are going to Koh Phangan in Dec.09 for living. He is a insulin dependant diabetic and has no expat health coverage. What are the chances of getting an insurance in thailand and will he be able to get prescriptions for the insulin while there? :)

Thanks

Do not expect he'll get medical coverage for his diabetes as it's a pre-existing condition which can lead to other sever problems, but he'll be able to get prescriptions from the local Doctors or Hospitals.
