Gonzo the Face Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Sincerest apologies to the gods of forum threads for not taking better care and giving attention to this thread. I originally had a question regarding rain in CM, but have since forgotten what the question was....... took so long to find this thread ...... all the way back to page " 94 " ..... I thought the answer would be on this thread but now ..... what was the question ??????
orang37 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Sincerest apologies to the gods ..... what was the question ?????? The gods will not forgive you; they are as indifferent to us as we to ants, and those whom they uplift, or smite, are chosen in ways that we can only observe (without understanding) as the paradoxical randomness of quantum fluctuations: so, no point apologizing. The question does not matter since all questions are ultimately nonsensical; they are all anthropomorphic frame-of-reference dependent, ephemeral, temporal delusions seen in a rear-view mirror of ratiocination. These two facts are strong arguments to have a happy day today. cheers, ~o:37; p.s. the answer is: 42. 1

CMKiwi Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Wasn't it Deep Thought that stated the answer to be 42? Great series but wasn't too fussed with the movie version. HHGTTG or Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy. 1
Asiantravel Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 As I will be in Chiang Mai from next weekend for two weeks I just checked the weather forecast on this forum. Very surprisingly, they are forecasting rain on Thursday, 8 and Friday 9 January and not just rain but heavy rain on Thursday according to the forecasters. What's the story about this? It's not normal surely at this time of year in the North. http://weather.thaivisa.com/chiang-mai/
naboo Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 We usually have a few days rain between October and Songkran. Had a couple right at the start of November, but nothing since. Came close just before Christmas. 1

Could need some. Now this forum is predicting rain on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday-four days I don't know what happens after that does that mean it will be gloomy and overcast for four consecutive days in January?

That would be fantastic, that and a bit more could sort out this year's pollution. Remember 2011?

arunsakda Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Nothing yet , Doi Suthep largely obscured by cloud.
cloudhopper Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Just started pattering down for a minute in Pai. The locals are launching huge home made rockets up into the gloom from the wat across the road - a new type with banshee-like sirens attached.
harrry Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Just started pattering down for a minute in Pai. The locals are launching huge home made rockets up into the gloom from the wat across the road - a new type with banshee-like sirens attached. Of course it is raining. The rockets punch holes in the sky and water comes through.
Sparkles Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 2.50 pm Light rain falling in Hang Dong...couple of days would be nice and to the Thai weather boys they got it right
Tywais Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Some sprinkling at CMU. Seems the forecast was spot on and supposed to be more out through next week. //edit - just changed from sprinkling to raining.
arunsakda Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Heavy Rain. They are freshening up the umbrella display at Central.
chiang mai Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Quite heavy and prolonged rain in Mae Jo and Mae Rim.
MESmith Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 The citizens of Chiang Mai must be expecting a deluge of biblical proportions, seeing how they all seemed to be in MAKRO stocking up, after the storm hit 1
uptheos Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Woo Hoo http://www.weather.com/weather/today/l/THXX0003:1:TH
Sparkles Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Quite heavy and prolonged rain in Mae Jo and Mae Rim. Quite widespread now and heavier in Hang Dong. So glad I told my visitors from Oz not to worry about the weather as it hardly never rains in January. 1
bangmai Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 steady rain at CMU....started as a sprinkle at about 14:30 and even stopped for a while.
Popular Post T_Dog Posted January 8, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2015 Getting the second wave up here in Mae Taeng and it is quite heavy. They won't be doing any burning up in the hills tonight! 3
Sparkles Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Soaking overnight rain at Hang Dong but the AccuWeather web site satellite page shows no cloud cover over CM or even over Northern Thailand.Perhaps the updaters take a break over the dry season ! Going to delay burning for a while, which is a blessing for some folk.2 days ago we noticed it had already started in our part of the world.
cloudhopper Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Cats and dogs since early morning. That was an impressive 7 day forecast! 1
